In 1957, the culinary journey of Rigazzi's began when partners Lou Aiazzi and John Riganti opened the doors of their establishment on the Northeast corner of The Hill. Combining their last names, Riganti and Aiazzi, they coined the name 'Rigazzi's.' Delighted that it resembled the Italian word 'ragazzi,' meaning 'friends,' the partners envisioned their restaurant as a place for forging new connections and creating lasting memories with old friends. Rigazzi's became a haven where every customer was embraced like an old friend, creating a tradition that endures to this day.
